Getting the most from your BioScrub or AirScrub system takes more then just placing it in, what may seem a well chosen location. Knowing where and what size environment you should use the system, is a simple procedure. The following is a easy formula for you to determine how you can get the most from your MicronSi filtration system

  • Step (1) determine the size of the room, based on total cubic feet. LXWXH (20Ft X 30ft = X8ft = 4800 cubic Ft.
  • Step (2) determine the effective cfm the desired AirScrub™ provides. ( AS-1000 = 950 cfm ) as found in general specifications.
  • Step (3) determine scrub capacity by dividing the effective cfm into the total cubic feet. [4800cu. Ft. divided by
    950 = 5.05 or 1+ exchange every 5.05 minutes, or 12 times in one (1) hour.
    TO BE EFFECTIVE THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE ABLETO DELIVER AT LEAST (6) EXCHANGES IN ONE (HOUR.
  • Step (4) Choose carefully the actual location to station the unit. Performance can be dramatically reduced if the unit is place under the A/C or heating vent. When placed next to a door that is constantly being opened and close will also reduce performance
    Step (5) be sure to correctly determine the right unit (based on effective cfm) for the right size room.

Remember: to have an effective scrub you must have a minimum of (6) exchanges in one hour
